A quick update - The CMCS Fall Appeal:
Only support from those who value our work can keep this apostolate going. We need to raise $1,000.00 to function debt free the CMCS Apostolate and online ministry through December 2025. So far 65% of this goal has been met.
Our online outreach ministry is free to access, but not free to make. Time is short. Please donate whatever you can. And if you cannot give, please pray. Thank you!

Gospel - Luke 16:19-31

Jesus said to the Pharisees:
"There was a rich man who dressed in purple garments and fine linen
and dined sumptuously each day.
And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,
who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps
that fell from the rich man's table.
Dogs even used to come and lick his sores.
When the poor man died,
he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham.
The rich man also died and was buried,
and from the netherworld, where he was in torment,
he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off
and Lazarus at his side.
And he cried out, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me.
Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue,
for I am suffering torment in these flames.'
Abraham replied,
'My child, remember that you received
what was good during your lifetime
while Lazarus likewise received what was bad;
but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented.
Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established
to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go
from our side to yours or from your side to ours.'
He said, 'Then I beg you, father,
send him to my father's house, for I have five brothers,
so that he may warn them,
lest they too come to this place of torment.'
But Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the prophets.
Let them listen to them.'
He said, 'Oh no, father Abraham,
but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'
Then Abraham said, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets,
neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'"

Pursuing holiness in our everyday lives as Catholic men involves a commitment to embodying the teachings of Jesus Christ. The term "saint," which means "holy," serves as a reminder that all followers of Christ are called to live virtuously.

While the Church recognizes certain individuals as saints, canonized for their extraordinary lives, we can look to them as examples in our journey. Attending events like the CMCS Bishop Perry Catholic Men’s Forum can inspire us to make a commitment to holiness.

By reflecting on the lives of the saints, many of whom transformed their shortcomings into virtues, we can find practical ways to deepen our faith and strive to become the holy men we are called to be.
Pursuing holiness as a Catholic man in our everyday lives is both a personal journey and a communal call. The holy lives we lead contribute to the sanctity of the Church, which serves a mission that extends beyond the confines of Catholicism to embrace the entire world.

Living out virtues such as kindness, patience, and humility allows us to embody holiness in our interactions. Striving for sanctity not only elevates our own lives but also encourages those around us to reflect on their spiritual paths. When we engage with others, and even become vulnerable, it's important to share the significance of Jesus in our lives and how His presence transforms our daily experiences.

By speaking openly about our faith, we can inspire others to seek a deeper connection with Him and ultimately foster a community rooted in love and faith.
